We’ve just come back from two great days at Homeless Link’s Under One Roof conference, and we’re still buzzing from the conversations.
Across the two days, it was genuinely inspiring to hear how much good work is happening across the sector, from small local charities to national organisations, all pulling in the same direction: preventing homelessness before it happens, and improving outcomes for the people already going through it. It’s a timely reminder that the work we do at Safehomes SE, providing housing alongside the support that keeps people in it, is part of a much bigger, shared effort.
We also met some brilliant people doing brilliant things, commissioners, support workers, fellow housing providers and we’re looking forward to staying in touch and carrying those conversations forward.
Conferences like Under One Roof are a good checkpoint. They remind us why prevention, not just placement, has to be the goal, and they connect us with the partners who share that same focus. If you were there and we crossed paths, or if you’d simply like to compare notes on prevention and support, we’d love to hear from you.
